Israel Minister Yaacov Tsur today had his first audience with French Premier Pierre Mendez-France. The two diplomats conferred on political and economic problems of common interest to Israel and France.
Although no official statement has been made on their meeting, it is believed that this was a continuation of the talk between M. Mendez-France and Abba Eban, Israel Minister to the United States, in Washington during the French Premier’s recent visit there. It is understood that M. Mendez-France gave Mr. Eban assurances that France will not officially recognize the Arab League.
