Premier Michael Debre and Israel Ambassador Yaakoy Tsur met last night for a 30-minute discussion on Middle East questions. The Israeli envoy said later that he had a “most sympathetic hearing” and expressed the conviction that “there has been no change in the very fine relations which have existed between our two countries.”
Earlier, Mr. Tsur addressed the institute of National Defense, a staff school for high-ranking officers, to whom he gave a 45-minute talk on Israel. He then answered questions for an hour and a half on Israel, its Army and its economy.
