Fifteen shouting Arabs were arrested by police detachments that surrounded the hall here where 6,000 Jews joined in a meeting of protest against the suspension of immigration to Palestine. Speakers at the meeting, which was under the auspices of the French Zionist Federation, were Mirtil Preszio, Hillel Zlatopolsky, Sholom Asch and Bernard Lecache.

The gathering greeted with cheers M. Lecache’s statement that the guilty one in Palestine was the Grand Mufti. Other speakers were Rabbi Eisenstad, Joseph Fisher, and Rabbi Louis G. Levy. Before the meeting a Zionist delegation handed a memorandum of protest to the British ambassador here.
