Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Fischel, active Jewish communal worker who died yesterday of heart disease, will be held at 10 A. M. today from her home, 70 East Eightieth street. Burial will be at Union Fields Cemetery.
Mrs. Fischel, the wife of Harry Fischel, real estate man with offices at 276 Fifth avenue, was born in Russia and married in this country.
A pioneer in Jewish social welfare work, she was active in numerous Jewish organizations, notably the women’s branch of the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations, the women’s auxiliary of the Central Jewish Institute, the Federation of Jewish Women’s Organizations, the Independent Ladies’ Aid and the Home of the Daughters of Jacob.
Besides her husband Mrs. Fischel is survived by four daughters, Mrs. David Kass, Mrs. Herbert S. Goldstein, Mrs. Henry A. Rafsky and Mrs. Albert Wald.
