Funeral services for Dr. Joshua Loth Liebman, outstanding American rabbi and author of the best-seller, “Pease of Mind,” who died here yesterday of a heart attack at the age of 41, will be hold tomorrow afternoon. Rabbi Solomon Goldman, of K.A.M. Temple in Chicago, where Dr. Liebman served for five years before coming to Temple Israel here nine years ago, will deliver the eulogy.
Born in Hamilton, Ohio, the descendant of rabbis on both sides of the family, Dr. Liebman studied at Hebrew Union College and the University of Cincinnati where, while to was still a rabbinical student, he taught philosophy. He was ordained in 1930 and served as rabbi in Lafayette, Ind., as well as in Chicago and this city. He also studied in Jerusalem for four years immediately after he was ordained.
