Funeral services were held today for Dr. Mordecai Soltes, executive director of Yeshiva University, who died here Friday after a long illness at 63, Born in Austria-Hungary, he was brought to the United States at six.
He had served as director of extension education of the Bureau of Jewish Education and as director of the Jewish National Welfare Board. A specialist on Yiddish, he had been president of the Jewish Book Council of America and a national officer of the American Jewish Congress.
