Funeral services were held today for the Rev. Morris L. Stein, former director of the Jewish Community Center and its Hebrew school here, who died at his home, 74 Lake Street, yesterday. He was 69 years old.
Last year Rabbi Stein retired as minister of the Congregation Knese Tilfereth Israel, whose pulpit he occupied for forty-two years. Ill health necessitated his retirement. He had resided in Port Chester for forty-three years, following his theological training in Russia forty-five years ago.
His widow, three sons, two daughters, a brother, sister and ten grandchildren survive him.
