Minister Without Portfolio Israel Galili said last night that the Norwegian step in declaring the Israeli security officer of the Israeli Embassy in Oslo, Yigal Eyal persona non grata showed “a lack of understanding for Israel’s efforts to deal with the murderous attacks of the terrorist organizations.”
Speaking at a Labor Party rally at Ness Ziona, Galili said that while an Israeli reaction will come in due course he was certain “that the resentment felt over the Norwegian move will not impair the friendly relations between the two countries.” He expressed his belief that Eyal will be received well upon his return to Israel. Eyal is expected here towards the end of this week.
