Gen. Ivan Davidovich Cherniakhovsky, the 36-year-old Ukrainian Jewish general whose army liberated Vilna yesterday, has received more orders-of-the-day from Marshal Stalin than any other general in Soviet history, it is reported here. He is the youngest officer of his rank in the Red Army.
