A project providing for the formation of a work detail of former members of the Nazi party to reset tombstones in the four Jewish cemeteries in Berlin, which were desecrated during the Nazi regime, and to clean up the cemeteries, has been submitted to Gen. Eisenhower by Chaplain Judah Nadich, it was learned here today.
Tombstones were overthrown or broken by the Nazis and general disorder created. In addition, the Nazis had a small number of non-Jewish Germans buried in these cemeteries, some of them in graves of Jews.
