The coalition agreement which resulted in the re-election yesterday of Tel Aviv’s General Zionist Mayor, Israel Rokach, was also effective for the satellite towns of Petach Tikvah, Nathanya and Ramath Gan, it was learned here today.
In Petach Tikvah Yosef Saphir will receive the support of the General Zionists, Religious Bloc and Herut, while in Nathanya Oved Ben Ami will be the coalition candidate and in Ramath Gan the choice will be Abraham Krinitzki. All three men hold the nayoralty office at present. As far as Jerusalem is concerned, the General Zionists have agreed to support S.Z. Shragai, candidate of the Religious Bloc.
Meanwhile, it was announced that the General Zionist Party’s choice for deputy mayor of Tel Aviv is Haim Levanon, secretary-general of the party. The Heligious Bloc and Herut deputies–A. Pinkus and M. Cohen, respectively–were named yesterday.
