Louis E. Kirstein, President of the Associated Jewish Philanthropies of Boston, has announced that a committee of prominent non-Jews has been formed to assist in the Emergency Campaign for $250,000. Members of this committee include: Philip W. Stockton, president of the First National Bank, as chairman; Governor Frank G. Allen, William Cardinal O’Connell, John R. Macomber, Hugh Bancroft, Gordon Abbott, Channing H. Cox, Dr. Harvey Cushing, Bishop William Lawrence, Edwin S. Webster, of Stone & Webster, Victor M. Cutter, Ernest B. Dane, William Endicott, Frank J. Fahey, George C. Lee, Roger I. Lee, S. W. Stratton and Daniel G. Wing.
Among the advance donations announced are the following: William Filene & Sons Co., $5.000; “Boston Post,” $1,000; “Boston Globe,” $1,000, and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Eiseman, $1,000.
