George J. Mintzer and Julius Hochman were elected chairman and vice-chairman, respectively, of the executive committee of the American Ort Federation, it was announced here this week-end by Prof. William Haber, acting president of American ORT.
Mr. Mintzer is chairman of the New York State Advisory Council on Unemployment Insurance and an impartial chairman in the garment industry. He served as counsel to the American Jewish Committee from 1939 to 1949 and he is former chief assistant United States attorney for the Southern District of New York. Mr. Hochman is a vice-president of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and a vice-president of the World Ort Union.
