The German members of the Jewish Agency for Palestine in conference here today unanimously adopted a resolution to continue their work for the upbuilding of Palestine in spite of the difficulties created by the British government, appealing to their friends to increase contributions, and telegraphing their sentiments to the Vaad Leumi, the Jewish national body in Palestine.
Oscar Wasserman, chairman of the Finance Committee of the Jewish Agency, criticized the British government for issuing its statement without conferring with Jewish and Arab leaders. “Britain was aware of the difficulties before undertaking the Palestine Mandate. Her obligations to the Jewish people do not cease. The Jews will continue their work until the difficulties are overcome.”
