In a public statement printed as an advertisement in today’s newspapers the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League, of which Samuel Untermyer is president, warns German-American citizens against the spread of Nazi propaganda in this country and urges them “not to permit yourselves by your silence to be misrepresented and not to ally yourselves with the ‘Friends of New Germany’ Hitler-Goebbels outfit who seek to spread race and religious bigotry and hatred, in our beloved country.”
Declaring again that the anti-Nazi boycott which the League is conducting is not aimed against German-Americans, the statement asserts emphatically that the boycott is solely against the Hitler regime.
