A copy of the banned, anti-Semitic film, “Jud Suess,” was confiscated by police here today when a squabble developed between the owner of the film and a prospective purchaser.
A German film dealer was reportedly ready to sell the copy of the Nazi film to Prince Ben Abdul Asia al Saud, a brother of King Saud of Saudi Arabia, for $150,000. When representatives of the Saudi Arabian prince withheld payment, associates of the dealer began questioning the authenticity of the film, and reported to police. The police authorities then discovered that the copy was authentic, and promptly confiscated it.
