The Chancellor of the German Republic has sent official greetings to Samuel Fischer, famous German book publisher, on the occasion of Fischer’s seventieth birthday. Fischer was the first to discover the talents and publish the works of Thomas Mann, Hauptmann and Schnitzler.
In greeting Fischer, the Chancellor declared that he has helped spread the fame of German culture throughout the world.
