A message of felicitation upon the occasion of his 85th birthday was despatched to President Paul von Hindenburg of Germany by the German Jewish Congregation of New York yesterday.
The congregation held a special service in honor of the German president, which was attended by Dr. Paul Schwartz, German consul general in New York. Rabbi Max Malina in his sermon referred to the fairness displayed to all religious groups by the German president.
