The first case where robbery of a Jew’s property went unpunished by a German court was reported by the Frankfurter Zeitung today from the town of Dirmassens in the Rhine district.
According to the account, an “Aryan,” whose identity was not disclosed, aided by relatives stole a cow from a local Jewish cattle-dealer. The police traced him and haled him to court for the theft.
Despite the defendant’s confession, the court refused to convict him.
A closed session of the Association of National Socialist Jurists has approved a projected law completely eliminating the Jews, including the war veterans, from law practice in Germany, the German press reveals today.
The newspaper accounts point out that the law was prepared by the Nazi Party in close collaboration with State officials.
