Karl Dietrich, a 52-year-old former police captain, was sentenced yesterday by a court in Detmold to a term of four years at hard labor for participation in the murder of 30 Jews in occupied Byelorussia in March of 1942. The prosecution had demanded five-year sentence. The defense had asked for the former Nazi’s acquittal.
