The Israel purchasing mission here today sent to German manufacturers a list of some $4,000,000 worth of products which will be supplied to Israel as reparations goods. This is the fourth list to be sent out since the reparations program went into effect and brings the total value of German goods to $25,700,000.
The latest list includes orders for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, semi-finished steel products, chemicals, textiles, leather goods, agricultural products and wood-working products. It is understood that after months of laborious negotiations, the purchasing mission is ready to place orders for cargo ships, fishing vessels, machine tools, machinery and structural steel.
