German Jewish refugees throughout Europe are receiving active help from the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society. (HIAS), according to a report just made public.
During the single month of January, 1934, 447 refugees were assisted to rehabilitate themselves by setting in other lands, particularly France. Twenty-one went to North or South American countries. Palestine was chosen by 127 others.
Abraham Herman, president of the society, appealed for financial aid for the society, in a statement accompanying the report.
