A movement in afoot among the Jewish women in Germany for the purpose of obtaining the right of suffrage in the communal Jewish life. In several places in Germany, demonstrations and meeting have been held at which this
demand has been voiced.
A particularly impressive meeting was held in Berlin, Representatives of the German women have held conferences with the Grand President of the B’nai Brith, Dr. Berthold Timendorfer, the Zionist leader, Dr. Klee, and the orthodox Rabbi, Dr. Levy. The leaders of this movement are Frau Pappenheim, a Professor of Law and Frau Margulies.
