A report on the Nazi past of Theodor Saevecke, now an official in the West German Federal Criminal-Department in Bonn, will be submitted to the Ministry of the Interior next week, it was reported here today.
Saevecke has been accused of arresting and deporting Jews from Milan during the war. The Jewish Documentation Center in Italy has accused him of ordering the shooting of 16 Jews, including women and children in that city. He also has been charged with compelling Jews in North Africa to perform forced labor when he was an SS captain in that Axis-occupied area.
Officials declined to give any details of the findings of the report which included investigations in northern Italy by a West German representative. Herman Hoecherly, the Justice Minister, will have to decide whether to institute disciplinary action against the former Nazi after he has studied the report.
