An American military court has sentenced Karl Gopfort, a municipal councillor at Rosenheim, Bavaria, to one year’s imprisonment and $500 fine for calling an officer of the military government “a dirty Jew.”
Gopfort was convicted of “attempting to infringe the authority of the military government and making mean and libellous insinuations as to the racial ancestry of an officer of the military government.”
