Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, told a press conference here last night that he has reason to believe that the reparations pact between Germany and Israel and Jewish groups from other countries will be ratified by the West German Parliament by the end of next month.
Dr. Goldmann made his statement following talks here with Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and other members of the West German Cabinet on implementation of the agreement. He emphasized that leaders of all important political parties in Germany, including pro-government parties and opposition groups, have expressed “understanding and sympathy” for Israel’s demands for reparations.
