German Protostant students at the Humbold University and Technical College of Berlin have volunteered to help the work of restoration of Jewish cemeteries desecrated by Nazi hoodlums, it was reported here today.
In a letter to the Berlin Jewish Community, the students expressed agreement with a statement of policy of the Pan-German Synod denouncing the mistreatment of Jews and calling upon German Protestants to protect Jewish cemeteries and synagogues from desecration. The students’ letter also offered whatever assistance was needed by Jewish fellow-students.
