The Northwest German Radio today charged the East German Communist authorities with the persecution of Jewish shopkeepers in the Eastern Zone. The Communists were said, by the Northwest German Radio, to have confiscated Jewish-owned shops and evicted the shopkeepers from their homes, sending them to rural districts. Jewish groups in West Berline said they had no information on the reported situation.
