German Radio Starts School Broadcasts on Jewish Topics

The Southwest German radio network yesterday started eight school broadcasts devoted to Jewish topics, including Jewish music, life in Israel and Jewish personalities. Facilities to receive radio programs exist in about half of the schools in the ares, and a fair proportion of the students in these schools will listen to the broadcasts, which will continue until December 19.

The first broadcast yesterday was devoted to current problems in Israel, Participants in the broadcasts were Dr. Uri Naor, public relations director of the Israeli purchasing mission in Cologne, and Dr. Gertrud Luckner, German Catholic who has visited Israel and heads a group dedicated to the promotion of friendship between Christians and Jews.
