Problems facing the Jewish youth in Germany will be discussed by James W. Gerard, former ambassador to Germany, at a rally of young Jewish men and women in the Greater New York area, to be held next Monday evening at Temple Emanuel, Fifth Avenue and 65th Street. At the rally every young Jew in the five boroughs will be asked to contribute toward the $2,000,000 fund being raised by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee German Relief Campaign.
Other speakers besides Mr. Gerard will include James Marshall, Paul Felix Warburg, Rabbi Jonah B. Wise and Miss Pauline Baerwald, chairman of the Junior Division.
Rabbi Wise, national chairman of the campaign, has announced that $617,000 has already been contributed toward the $2,000,000 goal. The contributions so far have come from 40 states and 171 communities. Every Jewish young man and woman in New York City will be asked to donate $1.
