A bill of indictment against Ludwig Zind, Offenbury High School teacher accused of asserting that Hitler had not gassed enough Jews, was sent to the court of appeals in Karlsruhe where the teacher has filed a complaint against his arrest. If the appeals court rejects Zind’s complaint the bill of indictment can be returned to the district court for indictment of the teacher.
Zind was arrested January 27 after nation-wide protests against the failure of the Baden-Wuerttenberg authorities to act against the teacher. A charge of defamation of the memory of tie dead was filed against him by the Central Council of Jews in Germany Officials here said that disciplinary action against Zind had been deferred pending court judgment of his guilt.
