The German Zionist Convention in session here rejected by a vote of 94 to 47 a resolution of non-confidence in the “Juedische Rundschau,” the organ of the Zionists in Germany, after a statement from Kurt Blumenfeld, president of the German Zionists, that such action would be construed as non-confidence in the Executive. This resolution, proposed by the Revisionists, as well as a milder one offered by the Mizrachists and Dr. Kollenscher, leader of the Zionist opposition, was voted down.
Another resolution, offered by Kurt Blumenfeld, according to which the future policy of the German Zionists should be to aim for a Jewish National Home, in accordance with the Palestine Mandate, was adopted. His resolution further demanded that the Palestine Government render more active support to the work of the Jewish building up of the country, that the Zionists be more active by increasing immigration of chalutzim, and regarding relations with Arabs to act in accordance with the resolution adopted at the 12th Zionist Congress.
The Convention elected a new executive, with Blumenfeld as president, and two left center men, two laborites, three Mizrachi. The National Executive of 53 also consists of Revisionists, radicals and members of the Kollenscher group.
