If the doctrines of chauvinism and racism again gain ground in Germany, its relations with the Jews and with all civilized people throughout the world will deteriorate, Dr. F.R. Bienenfeld, head of the legal department of the World Jewish Congress, warned in a broadcast over the Munich radio this week-end.
In a transcribed interview, Dr. Bienenfeld told the German people that they were at the “crossroads” in their relations with the rest of the world. He said the Jews could only hope that they would chose the right path, adding that if they did, all the world–not only the Jews–would recognize that they had returned to the ideals of humanism.
