A Portuguese woman just arrived in Lisbon from Paris told a Daily Telegraph correspondent today that the Germans apparently had “a complete list of every Parisian resident of note, particularly Jews.” The woman said that following the occupation of the French capital, German officers immediately took over the homes of all wealthy Jews and “installed themselves in luxury.”
