A conference between officials of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany and of the Bonn Finance Ministry has ended with agreement on a number of disputed points in reference to a program for indemnifying individual victims of Nazism.
The Ministry representatives will complete the draft of the agreement and then will present it in the form of legislation to the Upper House of the German Parliament. It must pass both Houses before it can become a law. If no new snags develop the measure may pass both chambers before the present Parliament is dissolved in June.
