The semi-official “Emigration Advisory Offices,” operated by Jews to render legal advice to emigrants, was closed down today by the Gestapo (German political police). No reason for the action was given. While privately owned, the organization maintained half a dozen offices functioning in cooperation with the Reich emigration department and other official emigration and currency exchange agencies.
