Ghandi, leader of the Indian non-cooperation movement, is reported in the local Arab press as having been among the Hindus who informed the Viceroy of India that they are prepared to send 20,000 Hindus to Palestine “to protect the Moslem Holy Places there.”
The Arab papers also declare that Moslems of Bombay, Calcutta and Delhi were among those who wrote and telegraphed their co-religionists in Palestine expressing solidarity.
