Jewish leaders in Germany are gloomy about the situation, following the dissolution of Parliament, and the ordering of fresh elections, which it is feared will almost certainly bring the Hitlerists into power.

The Zionist leaders feel that if there is a Hitlerist regime, the fate of German Jewry will be shared by the Jews in a number of other countries, like Austria, which will probably follow the German example.

The non-Zionist leaders of German Jewry say that they prefer to make no statements on the situation now.

The coming election campaign is viewed with grave apprehension, particularly with the lifting of the ban on the Hitlerist storm troops, who are expected to start a campaign of election terrorism against their political opponents and against the Jews, repeating the Breslau outburst this week on a larger scale throughout the country.
