Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, met today with Walworth Barbour, United States Ambassador to Israel, and conveyed to him the gravity with which Israel views the attacks this week by Syrian gunners.
It was learned that the topic occupied most of the meeting. Meanwhile, Col. Marsh, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization, left yesterday for Damascus to confer with Syrian officials. He was scheduled to return today for further talks with Israeli officials.
