Israel’s Foreign Minister, Mrs. Golda Meir, concluded a five-day visit to Nigeria last night and left today for a return visit to Ghana to be honored by one of the top chiefs of that nation before proceeding Tuesday to Dakar to attend a meeting of French West African leaders.
Mrs. Meir conferred this week-end with the Federal Premier of Nigeria, Alhaji Abu Bakar Tafawa Balewa, as well as the Western Region Premier Chief Obafemi Awolowo. She was guest of honor at a dinner party given by the Governor General and a tea party tendered by the 20-family Jewish community. Mrs. Meir addressed meetings in several cities and extended invitations to visit Israel to several prominent Nigerian statesmen,
