Mrs. Gold Meir, Israel Minister of Foreign Affairs, will meet here tomorrow with Secretary of State Christian A. Herter, It is believed that they will discuss mainly the United Arab Republic’s anti-Israel blockade of the Suez Canal.
Continuing efforts in support of Israel’s application for a World Bank loan, Israel Finance Minister Levi Eshkol is scheduled to meet this week with U.S. Treasury Secretary Anderson, official delegate of the United States to the Bank. Mr. Eshkol will also meet with Undersecretary of State Douglas Dillon, in charge of economic aspects of U. S. foreign policy for the State Department.
(A three-man delegation of the U.S. Congressional Allocation Committee arrived in Israel today for a brief visit while en route from Lebanon and Jordan to India, where it will inspect the efficiency of the absorption of American aid. The congressmen toured Jerusalem, and inspected immigrant housing schemes, the Hebrew University, and Mt. Herzl, Last week, members of the Congressional Sub-committee on International Operations visited Israel in connection with the aid which the Israel Government receives from the United States.)
