Labor Minister Golda Myerson was today given complete charge of the government’s program in behalf of immigrants living in work villages and semi-permanent camps.
The action was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet where it was decided to centralize the various government services which must aid the immigrants in the forthcoming winter months. It was decided to complete as soon as possible all woode n huts now under construction in the centers, which have a high percentage of tent dwellers. Three thousand new wcoden huts must be built before the winter sets in, the Cabinet decided. Premier David Ben Gurion, who is now on leave in Tiberias, was not present at the session.
