Dr. Nahum Goldmann was today elected president of the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture at the meeting of the board of directors of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany parley being held here.
The Memorial Foundation was established with residual funds from the Claims Conference to serve as a “living memorial” to the 6, 000, 000 Jews slain by the Nazis. It was announced that the Foundation will operate on an estimated budget of $1, 000, 000 a year.
