The Polish Government today applied to the British ##tary authorities in Austria for the extradition of Anton Brandt, one of the “li##ators” of the Jewish ghetto in Warsaw, who is reported to have been arrested in British zone in Austria after a search of two years.Brandt was among the first of the war criminals listed by the Polish Government. His name also figures often in reports prepared by the Jewish Historical Committee, which deal with the murderous activities of Brandt in the ghetto during the occupation.
Polish authorities have also asked the military commander in the British zone Germany to deliver to Poland Wilhelm Reinhardt Frick, former Nazi mayor of the ## of Zawierce, near Lodz, who is charged with responsibility for the liquidation the Zawierce ghetto during which 6,000 Jews were murdered.
