The Government of Northern Ireland has pledged itself to extend all possible support to refugees from Nazi-held countries, it was stated here today by Minister of Labor Grant, addressing a luncheon of the Jewish Refugee Committee in honor of Sir Herbert Emerson, director of the Inter-Governmental Refugee Committee.

Sir Herbert told the luncheon that as a result of the Bermuda Refugee Conference, the American and British governments will do all they can to “alleviate the appalling fate of the Jews in Europe.” Minister of Public Security H. C. Midgley also spoke. Following the luncheon, Sir Herbert visited the refugee settlement farm at Mill Isle.
