A court ordered striking doctors today to stop demanding fees from sick fund patients they have been treating privately since the strike began nearly four weeks ago. The court order was obtained by Kupat Holim, the Histadrut sick fund. The government meanwhile is reportedly ready to ask for a court order to bar the use of hospital facilities and equipment to striking doctors who are accepting patients at hospitals for fees. The 6000 striking physicians are demanding a 60% salary increase.
