Dr. S. Ulman, Grand Rabbi of Belgium will shortly retire, the Central Jewish Consistory of Belgium announced today. The reason for the retirement is Dr. Ulman’s age, 74, the Consistory announcement stated.
Before becoming Grand Rabbi of Belgium, Dr. Ulman served as Grand Rabbi of Cairo and later of Antwerp and Amsterdam.
