Prof. Yeremiyahu Branover, a recent immigrant in Israel from the Soviet Union who is now teaching at the Ben Gurion University in Beersheba, has received a large research grant from the U.S. Navy. The scientist is developing a new magnet-hydrodynamic system to boost the amount of electric power obtainable from raw fuel. If his system, which is based on a fuel conservation method, becomes viable, it could also be employed in missiles, space vehicles and nuclear generators.
