Ascher Mallah, president of the Greek Zionist Federation and a former Greek Senator, has obtained a reduction of fifty per cent in the price of railroad tickets for groups of twenty-five or more Jews using the Greek railways to reach Greek ports, and who are on their way to Palestine in Greek ships.
In addition he also obtained a reduction of fifty per cent in taxes on passages between Greece and Palestine. These measures are expected to attract a large number of Jewish emigrants to Palestin to Greek ports and to greatly increase the use of Greek ships.
