Seventy-five ragged, barefoot and emaciated Greek Jews passed through here this week-end en rout to Salonika from a German concentration camp near Hanover. These pitiful survivors said that they had been given no assistance,

The Bulgarian Government plans to grant subsidies to Jewish schools, it was reported here at a conference of teachers in those institutions. The meeting decided to increase the amount of time spent in the institutions. Because of the precarious financial state in which most of the teachers find themselves, it was decided to appeal to the Joint Distribution Committee for assistance.

All decisions taken at the conference are subject to approval by the Jewish Consistory and the government’s education officials.
